Throughout decades, the Lucinda Todo Bom wine cellar has given its best to care for the vines and develop its products in a consistent way, with its thoughts fixed on the next generations and the commitment with its clients all over the world. This is the reason why our wines have increasingly gained praise over time.

Throughout decades, the Lucinda Todo Bom wine cellar has given its best to care for the vines and develop its products in a consistent way, with its thoughts fixed on the next generations and the commitment with its clients all over the world. This is the reason why our wines have increasingly gained praise over time.

We thank the father, husband and mentor, José Cardoso, who dedicated his life to his family, to the vine, and for always being rigorous when it came to the quality of our wines. We honor the values and the prime examples he has left us, and will continue to work with the same passion. We are committed in following his legacy.

José Cardoso 1959-2019
Our eternal gratitude.

The place

Poço do Canto, a place from other time, where antique gods wandered and left their aromas.

Word has it that, in remote times, Baco the God of Wine passed through the soil of Mêda. Exhausted, bound to stop at Poço do Canto, he asked a lusitan family for a drink. They offered him water, which he accepted reluctantly, and proclaimed: “One day you shall know what wine is”.

No sooner said than done. Baco ordered a vine plantantion in the arid soil of Poço do Canto, and from these vines plated by the gods comes one of the best wines we know of.

Situated in the Upper Douro Wine Region, in Mêda county, Guarda District, Poço do Canto has a rough and hostile land, where the vines grow robust.

The history

Maria Lucinda Todo Bom is from this land, these people. Her family joined the wine producing business in the 1930’s, when her grandfather edified a wine cellar. The wine he produced passed down the generations, until it reached Lucinda. Regaining the family tradition, she restarted the wine production with her husband, José Cardoso in 1990 in the vines inherited from the Todo Bom family.

Nowadays, Lucinda Todo Bom and her daughter Filipa Cardoso, a doctor in practice, keep the passion and the production of their excellent wine. They own 20 hectars of vines in two different regions: Poço do Canto and in the county of Foz Côa.

The pledge now is to increasingly combine tradition and technology, to modernize the company and to renew the foundations, so that this heritage persists through many generations to come.
